Here is my pick of the week. This is an amazing rendition by Omara Portuondo singing Duerte Nagrita.  An arresting and beautiful interpretation of a classic song. NPR hosts a delightful series of video musical recordings they call Tiny Desk.  They're tiny treasurers.

My friends at NPR have great musical ears. They have been featuring some of the best music that's new, revived or emerging.  They've been playing some great new pre-release albums.  Here's the new Norah Jones.  I had lost touch with her (what with the demands of small children, I can't get to everything I'd like to) - and I think this release is compelling.  A maturing voice with emotional impact of someone who has loved, lost and had experiences of life.
