Merry Christmas, Daddy-O. I've discovered some great retro Christmas cards that I'm in the process of repurposing. This is my favorite. Tell me what you think.
I'm not usually so organized. When I was looking through my files from last year, I noticed I didn't posted my holidays cards in my Etsy shop until well after Thanksgiving. Hoping to get a jump on my self.
Checkout last year's Christmas card collection, while you wait for the retro cards to be finished.

The Spoils of Easter - Candy Day
We have some general memory lapse about what the Bunny's tradition is. He actually varies the tradition from year to year. This year, the kids dyed the eggs, hid the eggs around the house, hid some candy around the house. The eggs and the candy were for the Bunny to take with him. When they went to bed, they left their empty easter baskets by their bedroom doors.
When the bunny came, he left small wrapped presents near the egg nests that the children had scattered throughout the house. He also brought more candy. He did not remove any eggs or candy from the house.
When the kids awoke at 6:15am (earlier than they do for Santa), they spied their empty baskets and declared that the Bunny had forgotten our home. They went downstairs in the hopes they were wrong, and discovered the Bunny had not taken the eggs or candy left for him. When a suggestion was made to look more carefully, then the hunt was on. Happy discoveries were made of many wrapped gifts, with fresh candy. The day was a success.

Holiday Aftermath
Here we are now - four days after Christmas. Most of the presents have been opened and have been accommodated somewhere in the house. It was a happy holiday - with a large dose of stress and fatty foods, just to keep in the holiday spirit.
The 10 yo's favorite present has been christened, Harry Winston. He is a lovely ornamental box turtle. Santa's inspiration to gift a turtle has been called - "extreme". Harry is resting under his sun lamp enjoying some raw tomato and lettuce - a true raw foods fanatic.
We've enjoyed various forms of holiday traditions. Friends over for drinks in front of the fire. Day after Christmas illness. Barfing post breakfast, after jumping up and down on the beds! Two trips to the movies - one bad (Yogi Bear) one good (Gulliver's Travels). Holiday playdate turned Lord of the Flies adventure. You know how it goes. Can't wait for next year!

Halloween! Let the wild rumpus begin . . .
Well, the count down has been going on since 8 o'clock this morning. Jamie called a family meeting to announce Halloween. Now, we're at T-2 hours and counting. . .
I've got my fingers crossed that everyone is settled on their costumes. Lola had a last minute switch from a weasel to a vampire-ess weasel. But luckily we're quick thinking and now she has a lovely cape, and vampire teeth. Halloween is her favorite holiday - the visions of all that candy can keep her awake at night.
Its 70 degrees and sunny - boding well for a happy holiday.
