Scenes from the Past

I've become obsessed with vintage postctards. The ones that are slightly colorized and depict these idyllic scenes that you want to jump in and live the life.  Here are a few of my recent favorites. From places near and far.  This garden scene from Santa Barbara is really lovely (to see it upclose go here.

There is also a lovely card from the Mohawk Trail, a winding road in
Western Massachusetts that I'm fond of. Its calming.

See.

I agree. there is something so alluring about old postcards! we used reproductions of vintage hawaiian postcards {we went there on our honeymoon} instead of a guestbook at our wedding and had a mailbox for people to put them in. It was so much fun to read the messages that everyone wrote!

found you on etsy forums, I hope you'll come visit me too!

These are lovely!
I just found some vintage Indonesian postcards at a nearby OP shop. They're great and I'm keeping them in my treasures box...

Galit - thanks for stopping by. You've given me a great idea for a new feature on my blog fantasy-vacations. Better than a stay-vacation. Stay tuned for further updates.
