Apple Picking in New England

Can't get enough apples. Even though we had a bumper crop from the tree in our backyard, we headed out to Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury Mass to pick some fresh fall bounty.  The Farm must have over 25 different varietals in their orchards. But the best thing about this place, is that it doesn't hit you over the head with commercialism.  Sure they have a retail shop, and offer prepared food to purchase, but those aspects of the Farm aren't the ones that leave the first impression.

We'll be back to enjoy the bounty from other seasons. If you're in the area check it out.

We had a very low key afternoon. Picked two bags of apples, bought some cider doughnuts and honey, and a pumpkin. And then we were done. We'll go back as the seasons change to enjoy their peaches, blueberries and other fine offerings.
